What is Commonplacing?
Commonplacing is an age-old practice of collecting and organizing meaningful information that resonates with you. Think of it as your personal knowledge garden where you cultivate ideas, quotes, observations, and insights that spark your curiosity or provide valuable wisdom.
I started Commonplacing a few months ago and it really has helped me find connections between all the content I consume. I add entries from YouTube videos, podcasts, books I’m reading, TV shows, social media posts. It’s one of my favorite new things I’ve added to my workflow. I start by adding notes in my notebook and then once a week I add them to my Notion Workspace for safe keeping.
